Airport Overview

Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport (MSP) is the primary commercial airport for the Twin Cities metropolitan area and the Upper Midwest, serving approximately 40 million passengers annually. The Terminal 1-Lindbergh station is located adjacent to the Lindbergh Terminal's baggage claim level, accessible via a short covered walkway. The journey to downtown Minneapolis (Nicollet Mall or Government Plaza stations) takes approximately 25 minutes and costs $2.00 per trip ($2.50 during peak hours). Trains run every 7–10 minutes during peak times from approximately 5:00 AM to midnight daily. This is the most reliable and cost-effective option for reaching downtown Minneapolis.

Bus Services

Metro Transit bus routes serve both terminals with connections throughout the Twin Cities metro area. Express bus Route 54 connects MSP to downtown Minneapolis and Saint Paul. Various hotel shuttle services and Groome Transportation provide connections to suburban communities.

Travel Tips
